Michael news!

I am going to try a new way of recording what this little man is doing that everyone can read/see and it can be kept forever* WITHOUT taking up space in our house!  All around win!
New things from this week...
"uh-oh" - uh-oh
'peasss' - please
'ch ch ch' - choo choo (train)
can't remember how he said it, but he started saying something that means 'thank you'

Things he says now on a regular basis...
'Hi', in particular, 'Hi, Da' for Dad and anyone else, 'bye-bye'
'ah gah'-all gone and when I say something is 'empty', he says, 'ah gah' (although he tucks his chin to his chest and looks up at me with his little eyes, when he says it)
'CAAA' - for car, truck, train, the sound of the former and an airplane or helicopter, and (heaven help us) TRASH CANS!  He has a HUGE fascination with trash cans, you know, the big outside ones with wheels.  If I'd let him he'd play ALL day with it outside.
'cheesssss' - cheese.  We can't go a day without cheese. Actually most every time we sit down to eat.
'Iiid' or 'ou-side' - outside.  He LOVES outside.  I know he is about done eating when he asks to go outside. He asks every meal, literally.
'bu' - means lots of things. (door)bell, button, remote (I think because of buttons), belly (he knows where his is too), berry, as in strawberry, a FAV!
'ba' - bath, also a favorite pastime
'peech' - peach, as a fav; also calls oranges and pears by 'peech'

He loves swings, eating dirt, BOOKS, train videos and his Thomas trains that 'go', baths, water, zerburts (he gets Momma's belly ALL the time!), typing on the computer, watching football, baseball & Starcraft with Daddy, watching Momma play softball (he's our lil mascot), playing with rocks (& * occasionally* tasting them).

He's favorite book list right now....
Sheep in a Jeep
The Bunny Hop
The Wheels on the Bus
A Bob the Builder book...Dizzy's Bird Watch, I think
I Love You, Stinky Face
My Toys
Barney's Easter Parade
Baby Signs
Moose and Mouse

Speaking of Baby Signs, Michael uses some signs consistently too
Dog- he sticks his tongue out anytime he sees or hears a dog or anything that might be a dog i.e. cat, polar bear, etc
All done - he waves his hands back and forth, especially when he is done eating
More - he puts his hands together when he wants more food...no transfer to anything but food with that one
Diaper - he grabs his diaper when we read the diaper sign in the a fore mentioned book

Hmmm...I think that will cover it for now.  Much more has happened since his last journal entry (in the hard copy format), but too much for typing for now.  I get what I can on here.  Day by day...

Oh, Michael wanted to add his 2cents...

Here's what's happening now on the house

Today, we are having our living room painted...the final step to recover our house from the A/C leak that buckled our laminate floor that we installed OURSELVES earlier this year (w/ lots of help!). We had our carpet kicked and fixed at the doors yesterday and all the laminate was replaced last Friday and Saturday.  I did not miss the concrete floors or the "construction" look inside the house.  In hind sight, the months of dusty, concrete floors and constant working together to put in that floor and all the things related, were not a wash.  In fact, we are ahead!  Not only did we learn lots about installing a floor, we saved lots of money and still ended up having it professionally done for only the cost of our insurance deductible!  Win, win! AND a bonus of getting our living room painted, which had not been, and desperately needed to be done! Wahoo!
