This morning Michael was sitting at the breakfast table and said "poo poo" with a sort of could be a "poo poo" sign. This was BEFORE he started making any sort of grunts or blank stares. We went to the potty and pooped! Despite having to sit a while to finish, he has a new highlight on his potty training situation.
Another thing I noticed today is that he has not 1 but 2 molars that have come in. He is up to 9 teeth today!
What a day...

This weekend, we had Great Aunt Mary and her dog, Dr. Fox, come and visit. We definitely enjoyed the visit, with both of them. Michael had lots of fun playing with Fox and Fox's toys. And the reverse was true of Dr. Fox, I believe. Michael really enjoyed "Aa Maa" playing with him. It was nice to be able to visit family without having a billion other things going on. We actually got to VISIT! We talked about all sorts of things, from religion, philosophy, food, and, of course, family gossip. I, again, got info of our lineage. We are Swedish (yet, Great grandfather technically moved from Finland?), Ukrainian, which those 2 ethinicities became Canadian, and then there is French. And I am typing it here so I can have a better chance remembering! We got to eat some good food and go to my softball game and just hang out. It was a nice visit.
Today, Michael got Flu vaccine Part 2. he is 21 (or 22, forgetful parents we are) lbs 6 oz. He is growing fast. He otherwise is healthy.
This past Friday, 11/11, Michael got his first hair cut! Boy, did that boy have a BUNCH of hair.
Here are some ones when we got started...to show how long his hair had grown.
Here are some of the in progress... some with his cheerios and his tootsie roll distractions...
And here is after his bath...
New Words that we can remember at the end of the day...
Oof - Woof (like the dogs on our street)
Aa Maa - Aunt Mary
Fa - Fox, Mary's dog
Da cu, or Ga gu- Thank you
Peas - Please
Ga Ca - StarCraft; he loves watching Daddy play StarCraft

Woke up at night to go!
So Michael has started to wake up during his naps if he needs to teetee. Which is GREAT for potty training, but a real bear for getting things done during naptime. But I am happy about it though. In fact, on 11/9 Michael went to bed at 7:15pm and woke at 10:45pm and REALLY HAD TO GO. Apparently, he had not teeteed in 3 1/2 hrs. Of course it took Momma a few minutes to figure out why he woke up screaming, but she is learning quickly.
And to think when I read about "infant potty training" back I college I thought it seemed like a mild form of child abuse! It really does make sense to teach a baby to teetee in the potty instead of a diaper to start with and then have to retrain them to stop using a diaper and use a potty.

These are some words he has said at least sometimes.
Aus - sausage
Nigh nigh - night night
Boo - boom
Beas - beans
Fsh - fish
Beh - bread
Michael will now pull his helicopter behind him while he walks. Today, he put his dirty diaper in the pail and flipped the lid (with a demonstration and a little assistance). He has been putting a few things in the trash can or baskets when I ask him.

New this week 11/5
New things in Michael's world. He loves to run, yes, run around the house finding all kinds of things to play with. I love that he will find his books and bring them to me to read all the time. Just he thinks that the world has to stop when he wants to read a book five times in a row. Speaking of books, we got our library card on Thursday and he checked out his first 3 books, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, There was a Coyote Who Swallowed a Flea, and Baby Ben's Noisy Book. Unfortunately, it takes him about a week and a half and reading a book everyday for him to really "get into a book". But he does really enjoy going to the library's storytime. He did ask to leave early this week and consequently he signed 'diaper'. So, I took him to the bathroom and he went número uno! Wahoo! We went back to the kid's section to play with the big Clifford and bead table and he again signed diaper. So we went back to the bathroom and número uno dos veces (he peed again)! I think he felt like he had to poop and that's why he kept signing diaper, but he had no luck there at the library. Thank goodness because I didn't have any wipes with me. Now I try to take them EVERYWHERE we go,just in case he needs to GO.
Ah, he is growing up so fast.
On Monday, we were at home and he went tee-tee in the potty 12 times (I believe) and saved 4 diapers. One of those saved diapers 1 time, 2 diapers twice, & one of the diapers 3 times in a row. He was really on a roll. His previous record number of time for using the potty was 10 in a day. I hope this trend continues to grow quickly.
